Miriam Zdragat

I was born in 2001 and started playing at the age of 6. I started my violin lessons at Athens Conservatoire and was gradually taught by teachers, who were also members of the Athens State Orchestra.

Now I am preparing for my diploma (2021) with first violinist of Greek Radio Symphony Orchestra and “Academica” Athens Orchestra, Korelis Odysseas. Being the first violin of the Conservatory’s student orchestra, I had had the opportunity to play a lot of music and perform as a soloist too. Many organizations supported my studies with scholarships and gave chances to perform in halls such as Athens Concert Hall “Megaron”, Odeon of Herodes Atticus and Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

I have also had the opportunity to play with “Flex” string ensemble in the Athens Concert Hall and also be selected to take part in an Italian project called “La Musica: un Ponte tra i popoli”, aiming the unity of Balkan people through music. This year, I have received the “Vergotis” scholarship from the Vergotis Family in relation to Athens Conservatoire.
