EUYO Café Bauhaus Awards 2026

Café Bauhaus 2026

EUYO Café Bauhaus Awards support EUYO musicians and recent alumni to create and run projects in the areas they live and work, connecting top-level music with other forms of art and activism, and engaging for example with societal issues like environmental sustainability, gender equality, diversity, and inclusion. Each award offers €5000 of seed funding plus optional consultancy services to bring the performers’ vision to life.

Café Bauhaus is inspired by the original Bauhaus movement, Ursula von der Leyen’s New European Bauhaus, and the EUYO’s own, ongoing community work. The Bauhaus movement aimed to merge art with everyday life, and revolutionized design and architecture by combining aesthetics and functionality. Building on this, the New European Bauhaus focuses on creating more beautiful, sustainable, and inclusive forms of living together in Europe.

Café Bauhaus projects are particularly aimed at local, young, and diverse audiences, and those new to classical music. Café Bauhaus award-winners are also the leaders of their projects, from conception to production and budgeting. In addition to the support offered by the EUYO Award, we encourage applicants to leverage local partnerships and networks to create and build a substantial piece of creative entrepreneurialism, planned during 2025 and performed in 2026.

All current EUYO members and alumni from five years prior to now (so from 2019) are eligible to apply, and the closing date for applications is 31 January, 2025, via this online application form. For more information, see the Call Paper.
