September Residency in Ferrara

The EUYO returns home to open the 2021 season of Ferrara Musica

More than 80 EUYO musicians will come together in Ferrara for an intense two-week residency in September, featuring music and events for diverse audiences: conventional concerts, open rehearsals, an outdoor performance, and the premiere of Music minus the Rules! a new series of concerts for diverse and young audiences. Artists include conductors David Zinman and Sascha Goetzel, Soloist Laura Marzadori, presenters Ambra Bianchi and Fabio Sartorelli, and more than 80 talented EUYO young musicians from all over Europe. Ticket sales will open on ferraramusica.it in September. 

 

Music minus the rules!

A Sunday afternoon one-hour performance for new and young audiences with Associazione Musicisti di Ferrara Presenter Ambra Bianchi taking apart the European Union Youth Orchestra and putting it back together again. Perfect for first timers to classical music. 

 

Dvořák Night

A programme dedicated to some of Czech composer Antonín Dvořák’s greatest music, with conductor David Zinman and violinist Laura Marzadori, Concertmaster of La Scala.  

 

Music minus the rules!

Presenter Fabio Sartorelli and conductor Sascha Goetzel spend an hour showing just how fun classical music can be, with a diverse range of musical extracts, a look at the composers who wrote the music, and answers to audience questions. Perfect for first timers to classical music.

 

Tchaikovsky’s Pathétique Symphony
