6.10. | A day dedicated to Pauline Viardot

2021 marks the bicentenary of the birth of Pauline García Viardot, an occasion that the Centre Européen de Musique and the Opéra-Comique have celebrated with a day dedicated to the legendary singer and composer. Members of the EUYO were part of a tribute concert, featuring artists such as Dame Felicity Lott, Renaud Capuçon, Michel Dalberto and Nathanaël Gouin.

Six EUYO members paid homage to the work of Pauline Viardot by performing her Six Morceaux for Violin and Piano.

On the same day, the conference "Pauline Viardot, the composer" took place from 10.00-13.00 in the Bizet room at the Opéra-Comique, followed by a master class with the great classical soprano singer Dame Felicity Lott from 15.00-18.00 in the prestigious setting of the Salle Favart.
