The University for Continuing Education Krems (UWK) and the European Union Youth Orchestra announce 'Composing Change. Orchestral Impact in European Societies', a collaborative research project under the academic leadership of UWK's Center for Applied Music Research, funded by the Department of Science and Research of Lower Austria.

Ensemble Nuovi Orizzonti (ENO) is set to launch 'Responsoria', a bold reimagining of early and classical music in a unique community-driven residency in Bergamo, Italy. The project is facilitated by the ensemble’s 2025 Café Bauhaus Award of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), supported by Ilaria Borletti Buitoni.

The European Union Youth Orchestra welcomes the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra MD to the Association Board. He joins the governing body of our Grafenegg-based operational seat, chaired by Intendantin-Designate of the Cologne Philharmonie Ewa Bogusz-Moore.

For more than twenty years, Professor Emeritus Seppo Soinila has led groundbreaking research on the role of music in healing damaged brains. The research is now joined by a virtual reality-based technology, enabling people with brain injury, stroke and dementia to experience a concert even if their health does not allow them to go to a concert hall. EUYO musicians visited Turku on 13-15 December 2024 to make 360° recordings for use with the VR technology.
