26.10 | 100 Years of Lower Austria Statehood

A concert to celebrate 100 years of Lower Austria Statehood was performed in Brussels, in the beautiful Bibliothèque Solvay on 26 October. The concert took place on the occasion of Austria’s National Day, with music by three Austrian composers: Mozart, and two composers from Lower Austria, Joseph Haydn and the little-known Otto Bach. The performance of the Bach string quartet movement may well have been its first performance of modern times, and was possible thanks to the help of the Musiksammlung der Österreichische Nationalbibliothek.
