The end of the EUYO summer tour is marked by a special prize generously offered by our Advisory Council Founding Chair, Sir Ian Stoutzker CBE. It is awarded to an EUYO musician or musicians for performance excellence, and for embodying our Orchestra’s spirit of cultural understanding, cooperation and harmony.

This year’s winner of the Sir Ian Stoutzker Award is clarinettist Alberto Sánchez García (Spain) – pictured here in the middle of one of his unforgettable cadenzas in Khachaturian’s Masquerade: Suite – V. Galop.
