EUYO’s Café Bauhaus Awards are a key part of our community projects. Inspired by Ursula von der Leyen’s New European Bauhaus and particularly by its 3 tenets of beauty, sustainability and inclusivity, Café Bauhaus supports three EUYO winners a year to realise their own community projects in this spirit. 2023 Café Bauhaus projects saw the launch of Thirteen North in Glasgow, the Nordic Duo in Mo i Rana – and The Collab Project, with concerts on 9 November in Vienna and 12 November in Prague.

EUYO alumni Karolina Pancernaite (piano) and Lucija Pejković (cello), together with Rasma Larsens (violin), are the Cordelia Piano Trio. Their Collab Project lauch programme ranged from Joseph Haydn to Mel Bonis and Philip Glass, while award-winning Austrian artist Marius S. Binder created paintings in response to the music. Children were especially welcome, with each programme lasting no longer than an hour. In Prague, canvases and paints were also made available for the audience…experiencing music in colour in all senses of the phrase.
