Discover EUYO 2024
From Carnegie Hall to the Lucerne Festival: if you follow our news, you’ll have noticed more and more…
about… 2024!
We are delighted to be welcoming back conductors Iván Fischer and Gianandrea Noseda, and cellist Nicolas Altstaedt; Alexandre Bloch and Isata Kanneh-Mason make their EUYO debuts, as do the Queen Elisabeth Competition prizewinners Timothy Chooi, Jonathan Fournel and Hayoung Choi. Coming up: nearly 50 events already, from Europe Day in Brussels to Carnegie Hall; from Gustav Mahler to Carlos Simon, via the anniversaries of Arnold Schoenberg and Luigi Nono. We’ll be exploring the relationships between music, wellbeing, and health; evolving our Frontrunners online learning series; expanding our Music Hub Austria model; and supporting a brilliant quartet of Café Bauhaus community projects.
In a live, interactive online session on 15 February at 17:00 CET, Iván Fischer, Nicolas Altstaedt, EUYO Chair of the Board Ewa Bogusz-Moore, and EUYO Executive & Artistic Director Marshall Marcus, the EUYO team and musicians shared our plans for the year. This included the announcement we’ve all been waiting for…the 2024 Orchestra. With audition applications up 40% in 2023, and nearly 3500 young musicians competing for 120 places, bravo to every single EUYO Member, new or returning, on their fantastic achievement. You can read all about them here.
