14.3.-4.4. | Spring Residencies and Tour 2022

FERRARA - UDINE - HELSINKI - TAMPERE

Starting with a three week Ferrara Musica Residency - an intense rehearsal period in EUYO's Italian home, Ferrara - the EUYO musicians performed four symphonic concerts and two eduction concerts together with conductors Elim Chan and Iván Fischer, and soloists Nicolas Altstaedt and Kreeta-Julia Heikkilä.

This concert was dedicated to the memory of David Sassoli, President of the EU Parliament and EUYO Honorary President, as well as launched the EUYO Peace in Europe Project. It was introduced by EUYO Advisory Council member Hon. Silvia Costa.

Young Europe Comes to Finland!

The EUYO was visiting Finland for the first time since 2004, in a four day residency bringing the latest innovative community music education approaches from across Europe, including working with Finnish music, Finnish partners and Finnish musicians, from the youngest to the most established.

Young musicians and dancers from across Helsinki and the EUYO's young musicians from across 27 countries came together for a radical look at the importance of culture, and how they think it should be used to develop their careers, aid the cause of peace, and help Europe's recovery from the pandemic. Part of the European Year of Youth and the Conference on the Future of Europe.
